Rishi Kapoor tweets about fire at RK Studio, gets trolled about his remarks on Dera Sacha Sauda

Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor recently tweeted about the fire which gutted the iconic RK studios in Mumbai. Located in the Chembur area of the city, the studio was built by the noted filmmaker and Rishi Kapoor’s father Raj Kapoor.

The fire, which broke out last week, destroyed the studio and also gutted iconic costumes and memorabilia from several old Hindi blockbusters. It appears that a short circuit caused this fire when a reality dance show called Super Dancer Season 2 was being shot. Thankfully, there were zero casualties and no injuries in the fire as the studio was empty when it happened.

In his tweet, Rishi Kapoor said that while a studio can be built again, replacing this old memorabilia is absolutely impossible.

Trolled for remarks on Dera Sacha Sauda

In response to Kapoor’s tweet, several Twitterati took the opportunity of trolling him for his remarks last month about the Dera Sacha Sauda.

In the aftermath of unrest in Panchkula last month, Rishi Kapoor had made a tweet pointing a finger at followers of the Dera Sacha Sauda without any evidence. In his tweet, he had said that the Dera Sacha Sauda’s assets should be seized and used for paying for the losses incurred during the violence.

Twitterati flooded Kapoor’s timeline saying how those who wish bad things on others get paid back through their bad karma.

One Twitter user with the handle @SandeepSP_Simi tweeted this quote by Chanakya: “When people point fingers at true Saint without any evidence, they get payback from God for their actions.”

In his original tweet about the Panchkula incident, Rishi Kapoor had also said that he had “no respect for the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda.”

These tweets came back to haunt him as Twiterrati told him that they had “no respect for Rishi Kapoor”.

Mumbai-based RK Studios formed the backdrop for several iconic films from Bollywood history. Movies like Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973), Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978), Prem Rog (1982), Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985) etc. were filmed at this studio.
