The Fuel efficiency figures are 18 kmpl for petrol and 23 kmpl for diesel. Asta CRDI (Diesel Manual) would be a great choice. The suspension setup is more improved, and the car is a breeze to drive in urban traffic conditions.

Moreover, grand i10 manages to give a comfortable highway drive. The diesel motor is also the one which produces a lot of unpleasant engine sound. The 1.2 CRDI Asta model comes at a price tag of 7.58 lakh.

Hyundai Elite i20

It comes with a petrol 1197cc and a diesel 1396 cc engine. Its available within a price range of 5.5 to 9.31 lakh. The fuel efficiency is 18.6 kmpl for Petrol and 22.54 kmpl for diesel.

The diesel engine is the same as the previous one and comes with a 6-speed manual option. The petrol manual is also retaining the same old configurations and is slightly retuned for more power at lower rpm. Both the petrol and diesel models are good for city drive and highway usage.

If you like linear and smooth performance, then “sportz plus” petrol should be your pick. Otherwise the “magna plus” diesel engine is more fuel efficient. It’s not typically a “driver’s” car but it hits all the right boxes of comfort practicality and a linear power delivery. Also, a crossover version of this car is available under the name i20 active.

Hyundai Xcent

The front grill on the new Xcent looks beautiful and the fog lamps now get LED DRL’s around it. Touchscreen Infotainment system hosts android auto and apple car play. Moreover, its quick to respond. The rear seat space is a bit tight in the new Xcent.

3 people may not be comfortable for long journeys. Cabin Insulation inside the Xcent is decent and the ride quality is also very good. Bump absorption is improved over its predecessor. Steering is light in the city traffic conditions. Its not really fun to drive but it is definitely comfortable to drive.

Hyundai Verna:

Hyundai Verna looks aggressive and modern. The day time running lights and rear LED lights increase her charm. The cabin is premium and features like the ventilated front seats distinguish the car. The manual petrol version is punchy and fun to drive.

The manual version of this car would also impress lazy drivers who don’t like to change the gears often. The steering is well weighted round the corners and feels adequately light in the city. However Automatic version feels even more effortless.

Hyundai Elantra

The interior quality is premium. 2 tone dash is not there, however there is no sense of a dullness inside the cabin. Cabin insulation is of supreme quality. The petrol engine is refined and makes driving a pleasure. Back seat comfort is great with this car.

Leg room is generous. The car never lags in power for both the engines. Overtaking maneuvers are easy. The Auto gear box works extremely well.  Overall, if you are looking to buy a chauffeur driven sedan with great styling. Then this is a good option.

Hyundai Creta

Interiors of the creta are premium in quality. It gets a sunroof which is missing with the harrier. Sense of space is lagging with this car because of the elevated position of the window line. Steering is well weighted as it feels light in city traffics and confident on highways.

Drivability is not as good as a duster but it’s not bad either. The power output is linear. Ultimately, it’s a great combination of luxury, drivability and style.

Hyundai Tuscon

Hyundai Tuscon aims to fill the gap between the Creta and Santa Fe. The exterior design completely signifies that it’s an urban SUV. The quality levels are instantly noticed once you step inside the cabin. The two-tone color scheme, Chrome finishes, good quality plastic usage make it feel premium.

Window line feels a bit high in this car at the rear. Other than that, it ticks all the right boxes in terms of plushness. The engine is punchy, and the power delivery is aggressive in the diesel. Three driving modes are on offer.

This was the overview of the best Hyundai cars in India. If you want a budget friendly hatchback from Hyundai, Santro is a very good option. If you are in the market for executive hatchbacks, then elite i20 would blow your mind. Executive sedan on offer from the Hyundai is the new verna which is more refined and improved. However, it’s the creta which is the showstopper. It is the best in its class and offers a very tough competition to the Jeep Compass and the newly introduced Harrier.
